We were shocked to find out how many teens and young adults in our programs started their own businesses in the midst of the pandemic. Not only had they started these businesses, but they were thriving! WXYZ's News Anchor, Glenda Lewis, came out to visit us. It aired in August and we are delighted to share it with you! The segment also highlights our summer work with Kindergarten through eighth grade youth. Check this out! https://youtu.be/dUkUxgpgVuc

Developing K.I.D.S. building skills and ‘superpowers’
The Detroit News featured Developing K.I.D.S. on the front page of their paper on August 15, 2017. "At the high end, the skill-building umbrella covers $350,000 for the Detroit Conservation Corps, the training program from Greening of Detroit that helped inspire McGregor to rethink its mission. Toward the smaller end, it means $85,000 for Developing K.I.D.S., which among other things hires promising young people like Nixon to help bring out the promise in even younger people."
